The Approach:

Everyone has their own relationship with privacy and data just like everyone has their own relationship with their pet.

Let's create a fun video game that pulls on the parallels and teaches people how Twitter’s privacy settings give them control over their own experience.

The Results:

A beautiful 4-level platform

game was created with an amazing chiptune soundtrack

receiving much press, speedrun videos, and articles.

Critics and reporters agreed the pixel art style of the game was fantastic, cute, and charming being visually well received allowing the game designer and art director in me to squeal in rejoice.

The Execution:

With under 4 months to create the game, I honed in on the mockups, the wireframes, and making sure the game's ideas and policy details lined up before development began. Taking complicated policies and turning them into digestible fun levels is no easy task, but it's awesome to design cool unique characters and an imaginative world while doing it.

I won the lottery being able to work with Craig Kind from YML who helped keep the game on track and always had awesome UI design adds. My design team worked hard under my art direction as we entered a creative relay race passing assets back and forth designing and rearranging. It felt quite rewarding to flex our pixel-art muscles with every level and character design.

It was a very intense sprint but I am overjoyed with the designed results. It truly immerses the players into a world of Twitter Blue and makes them fall in love with a pup named Data as they learn about the policies in place.
